Seamless gutters are formed on site from a coil of aluminum, so each run is one piece with joints only at the corners. Fewer seams means fewer leaks.

A good installation is mostly about pitch and downspout placement: enough slope to drain, downspouts where the roof actually sends water, and extensions that carry it well away from the foundation.
